I spent just over a week putting in new granite tile counter tops and tile backsplash. The project is nearly complete, with only sealing and a few cosmetic touches remaining. Here are a pictures of the progression. It definitely took some time, but being my first attempt at tiling, I think I did pretty well.

I have been putting progress updates on Facebook and Twitter, but for those not on these social networking sites, here are the photos. Clicking a photo will take you to the Picasaweb album for a closer look.

  • Working on the kitchen. Took a break to go say goodbye to Desiree at work. She is going overseas. We will miss her. Back to work now. #
  • Back splash is 2/3 done. All the cutting around the window sills is time consuming. Off to bed now. I work the next six nights! #
  • http://twitpic.com/6qbrt – All that is left is grout and a sealant. I have to wait 24 hours to grout. Most likely on Sunday. #
  • Brandi cut my hair last night. My hats fit again. :-) I hate tight fitting hats. They give me headaches. #
Abbie and Family and School06 Jun 2009 01:39 pm

I volunteered at Frontier Elementary’s Field Day and got to run the tug 0′ war station. When I had breaks I took the opportunity to get some pictures of Abbie and her class having fun.

I remember having field day and we had mostly track events. Our two fun events consisted of frisbee throw and shoe kick. Now days they just play in the water.
