Abbie and Brandi and Family and video21 Apr 2010 12:47 am

We went to the Mix106 Easter Egg Scramble and Abbie got more than just eggs and candy, she got to be a TV star. KTVB was there doing a story about the 25th annual scramble and how it almost got canceled this year because of the economy and lack of funds. Brandi and I know the videographer, Mike McClenna, from Facebook and Twitter, and he asked us if we would like to do an interview afterwards. I managed to hide off screen, but Brandi and Abbie both made it on. Below is the video from KTVB followed by my video of her interview and my video of Abbie in the scramble.

This Independence Day was quite busy. While I slept in the morning after a night’s work, Abbie and Brandi went to a neighborhood parade, with police escort and all. Just after noon we all headed to Bob and Krista’s house for Addison’s second birthday party. I got to see a lot of their family that I had not seen in awhile.

We then went to the Boise Hawk’s game and watched the fireworks with some friends. The game sucked, we lost 8-0, but the company and fireworks were great. After the game we all headed to my house and lit off a bunch of fireworks. The neighbor Tom had a whole crap-load of mortars that were very entertaining.

We are headed out tomorrow for a vacation to the Oregon coast. We are staying in a hotel outside of Portland the first night and going to the zoo the next morning. Friday night we will head to Salem to visit Brett, Stacy, Ian, and Ainge (the twins are a year old now!). Then our coast camping begins, with South Beach for a day and then two days at Cape Lookout State Park near Tillamook.

We will have internet the first three days so I will try to post daily. The last three days are camping so I don’t know what I will be able to do on here, but I will be uploading pics like crazy on Twitter via TwitPic from my cell phone, so follow our vacation there!

I volunteered at Frontier Elementary’s Field Day and got to run the tug 0′ war station. When I had breaks I took the opportunity to get some pictures of Abbie and her class having fun.

I remember having field day and we had mostly track events. Our two fun events consisted of frisbee throw and shoe kick. Now days they just play in the water.
